Kathryn O’Halloran

Kathryn, an Associate of the Centre for Mindfulness Ireland, is a qualified nurse with over 20 years’ experience, both at home and abroad. She has been practising yoga and meditation since 2000.

Kathryn is a qualified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher having trained with the Centre for Mindfulness (CFM), University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, Massachusetts.

She has also undergone formal training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) at the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, Bangor University, Wales.

Kathryn is committed to practising mindfulness in her own life as a busy working mum and is very passionate about sharing these practical and supportive tools with others. This is very dear to her heart.

She adheres to the Irish Good Practice Guidelines for Teaching Mindfulness-Based Courses which include engaging in regular supervision sessions and ongoing trainings and retreats.

Along with Kathryn’s warmth and care, she brings a wealth of experience to her teaching of Mindfulness in a wide variety of settings.

Online Mindfulness Practice Group

Whether this is your first time to practise mindfulness or you have been practising for a while you are very welcome to join our Online Mindfulness Practice Group. 

What to expect
Each week we will begin our session with a short guided meditation to help us let go of the day that has been and be more fully present. There will then be some time for people to briefly check in and say how they are doing that evening. However, this is an invitation and there will be no pressure to speak. I will then guide us in a longer practice which will include some basic mindful stretching, followed by sitting meditation. We will close each session with any feedback/questions that may arise.
